Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of changeovers and set-ups within the Wireform department.
Responsible for preventive maintenance and assisting lead and supervisor as needed.
Perform inspection procedures using precision measuring instruments and apply document principles of statistical process control (SPC).
Use and confirm proper operation of all safety devices and procedures.
Complete work orders and department-related paperwork.
Ability to multitask packing multiple machines and check parts in gage hourly to customer quality specs.
Maintain first piece check sheets and SPC/P Charts.
Ability to use computer, calculator, micrometers, and calipers efficiently.
Must be able to enter quality check in Datalyzer and end of shift production in computer.
Ensure stress relieving parts process is followed.
Must maintain a clean work area, keep area stocked and follow 5S methodology.
All other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
Basic Mechanical and Computer skills.
Ability to operate, changeover and trouble shoot machinery.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance checks, provide accurate documentation, maintain tooling, and perform quality checks.
Must be able to make sound decisions with regards to machine set-ups and changeovers.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, quality, and other related documents and instructions.
