Be A Better You! PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Automotive Service Porter Expeditor Related Duties & Responsibilities Your primary focus is our image to our customers You are responsible for shuttling customers and giving a very positive shuttling experience.
You will be responsible for keeping the customer waiting room area clean and fully stocked with refreshments, so customers feel welcome.
The shop area will rely on you keeping it neat and clean and garbage kept empty.
You are a critical role in boosting shop efficiency by assisting techs in different operations including moving vehicles in and out of the shop.
Part of your incentive plan is based on a high level of technician efficiency.

The NUMBER ONE way to achieve this is through CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
It is up to you, as a person in this key position, to ensure and promote the customers' satisfaction with their service experience at Global Autoworks.
This is an area that is very demanding.
You must keep an open mind and a willingness to adapt and change as required.
Your performance is critical to the smooth operation of the Service Department.

Duties &
Responsibilities:
A.
Shuttle customers as directed by the service advisors or manager.
B.
Able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
C.
Move customer vehicles daily in & out of the shop.
D.
Clean the shop on a daily basis.
Start in one corner of the shop and divide it up into 5 days so it stays perpetually clean.
E.
Monitor the parts inventory for keeping up to-date and current.
F.
Follow the Parts Physical handling procedures for ordered parts and keep the parts bin area straight and organized.
G.
Keep all return parts to a minimum and expedite the parts being returned to the needed vendors.
H.
Be able to lift up to 75 Lbs.

I.
Keep the restroom and lunchroom clean.
J.
Keep the customer waiting room clean and organized.
K.
Empty all garbage daily as needed.
L.
Keep the parking lot areas clean and picked up both litter and leaves.
M.
Speak fluent English.
The job environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
The employee will also be around fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals used in an automotive repair facility.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud from tools and machinery being used by all employees.
The employee will be working on and/or near moving vehicles and machinery, moving vehicle lifts, mechanical parts, and tools.
Work may require weekend and evening work.
Must have a valid Michigan State Driver's license with a driving record acceptable by our company insurance.
