Responsibilities:
As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties are determined by the client location.
Some responsibilities may include:
Access Control - Ensure only authorized individuals are given access to the site.
This could be based on appointments, ID cards, etc.
Patrolling - Walk the interior and/or exterior of the various buildings on the site, keeping an eye out for security, safety, or maintenance issues.
Camera Monitoring - Monitor CCTV for safety and security concerns across the site.
Customer Service - Always enforce rules and policies through de-escalation techniques and ensuring quality customer service in every interaction.
SUCCESS as a Security Officer at DK Security will look like:
Reliability - Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.
Friendly Personality- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.
Following Company and Client Policies - Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
Use of De-escalation Techniques - Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
(Required for driving sites) Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years No other major violations in the last 3 years.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
