4K a year Shoreline Vision is looking for a Lab Tech to join our teams.
The Lab Technician is responsible for maintaining patient flow, verifying all demographic and insurance information, obtaining authorizations, placing product orders, tracking invoices and statements, filing, and answering and directing phone calls.
Essential Functions:
Greets patients in a polite, prompt, helpful manner at all times.
Check patients into the optical department.
Verify all patient's demographic information either verbally or with the forms provided.
Verify insurance cards and make sure we have correct copy in the system.
Obtain insurance authorizations as needed for vision insurance or medical insurance.
Set patients up for the Patient Portal.
Double checks Patient Data Sheets and New Patient forms to make sure they are entered correctly.
Schedules patients for future contact lens training appointments.
Patient notification of finished product.
Maintains HIPPA standards and patient confidentially.
Adheres to office policies and procedures and works within administrators' compliance plan standards.
Other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
