SHIFT PREMIUM MUST HAVE PROCESS TECHNICIAN EXPIRENCE IN PLASTICS TO BE CONSIDERED Position
Summary:
Provide technical and injection molding support to Operations and Engineering.
Essential Functions:
Develop and maintain best possible injection molding process parameters Start-up machines, trouble shoot and monitor injection molding equipment Follow and document process parameters Analyze targets and settings to understand key variables that are moving naturally and develop failure limits Collect and analyze data on individual processes to identify and improve process capability Look over schedule for day and communicate with previous shift or next shift, write down mold changes, color changes, material changes and insert changes.
Communicate to mold setters and backside material handlers of schedule and times Check press cycle times, material and color settings, match to BOM or make sure deviation is written if needed and verify part detect is working and on If running sample fill out paperwork and build EOAT if needed Can build and adjust EOAT also can program robot functions Proper paperwork is at press, processes set up sheet for part running, notify P.

if there is not one available in computer to print out for press and process At startup of press verify quality of part and call for an FPA on the intercom system-this will notify the supervisor and quality tech that the press is running-if press is down for 4 or more hours process tech must call for another FPA to ensure the part quality has not changed Work with set up/material handlers to verify/approve set up is completed correctly and all aux equipment is hook up properly Ability to set mold protect properly Document and record equipment related problems, cycle times, part quality Act as a resource to the manufacturing operation to support cost saving initiatives Process, identify and correct molding issues, shorts, flash, burns, etc.
Work with Quality and Production to identify quality and scrap improvement Adhere to cleanliness standards and safety guidelines Other

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Development Communicate effective and efficiently with fellow team members Ensure a positive work environment with an awareness of company goals and objectives Knowledge of various injection molding machines and robots Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Able to work overtime as needed Experience working in a fast pace, high change environment with limited supervision (self-starter) Team player with strong leadership skills Great attention to detail Previous manufacturing experience Have an interest in taking training/schooling classes Ability to do insert changes on tools Knowledge of core functions and how they work Excellent prioritizing and follow through abilities Knowledge of material types used at GHCM, heat profiles, characteristics of material and dry temps and time Position reports to the Lead Process Engineer Job Type:
