ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and maintain comprehensive materials planning strategies to optimize inventory levels while minimizing costs and ensuring continuous supply to support production demands.
Collaborate closely with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to forecast material requirements and ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
Create and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, production capacity, and inventory levels to meet delivery targets and production efficiency goals.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address and material shortages, production delays, or quality issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruptions.
Utilize ERP/MRP (Plex) systems to manage material planning, production scheduling, and inventory control process effectively.
Continuously evaluate and optimize materials planning and production scheduling processes to streamline operations, reduce lead times, and enhance overall efficiency.
Implement best practices such as lean principles or Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience in materials planning, production scheduling, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to create and generate reports and correspondence Excellent communications skills, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
High level of professionalism; ability to present information and respond to customer concerns professionally Strong math and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with Plex preferred.
Good problem solving skills.
Good computer skills; working knowledge of EDI and PLEX system Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
