Summary:
The Quality Technician will support the Quality department by providing a variety of support applications and continuous improvement activities on 3rd shift Primary Duties:
1.
Perform first piece approval 2.
Perform quality inspection of parts coming off current production 3.
Train operators on use of gages, inspection tools and jigs, quality alerts 4.
Utilize various gages for inspection 5.
Perform gage calibration 6.
Make simple modification in Solid Works, as needed 7.
Create part specific and assembly inspection sheets 8.
Balloon part prints for inspection 9.
Conduct final inspections 10.
Assist Quality Manager not limited to the following:
a.
Scrap review b.
Part sorting c.
Gage R&R studies d.
Gage correlation studies e.
PFMEA f.
Monitor rework and scrap orders g.
Dimensional layouts of new parts h.
Capability studies i.
Create work instructions j.
Gage control k.
Verify corrective actions l.
Assist with Quality Alerts 8.
Work within a team to ensure consistency across multiple projects Miscellaneous Responsibility:
Perform work as assigned by Quality Manager or Quality Engineer Communicate and collaborate with other departments Support continuous improvement Manage assigned projects Safety Requirements:
1.
Wear personal protective equipment as required.

Minimum Requirements/ Skills:
1.
Experience in the parts manufacturing industry 2.
Technical Experience in Quality and/or ISO 9001, preferred 3.
Inspection experience, preferred 4.
Working knowledge of measuring devices, preferred 5.
Excellent communication skills 6.
General proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word & Excel minimum) 7.
Excellent written and verbal skills 8.
Basic knowledge of Solid Work, preferred 9.
Basic troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
10.
Ability to prioritize work 11.
Ability to work independently and self-motivated 12.
Ability to handle multiple projects or task and determine priority.
