The Community Engagement Coordinator for Love in Action of the Tri-Cities (LIA) serves as an integral part in driving LIA's culture of relationship and community.
This position is responsible for the intake, orientation and placement of all new volunteers.
The Coordinator assists all LIA Directors with volunteer retention, training and appreciation.
They also coordinate volunteers for events and group activities throughout the year.
As a servant leader this individual models Christ-like love, hope and grace with a passion to serve and connect with others.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Works as a liaison between potential volunteers and each LIA department; Conducts orientation of new volunteers through an online platform; Leads poverty alleviation training on a rotational basis with other staff; Manages the volunteer database and supports each LIA department to ensure that the software is used to create a consistent experience for all volunteers; Coordinates and oversees volunteer group activities with each LIA department; Assists the Director of Community Engagement with:
o Development and implementation of cultural education opportunities for volunteers and staff; o Planning and development of special events, including prayer services, fundraisers, volunteer appreciation events, Community Co-op events, and retreats; and Works as a member of the Co-op team and cross-trains in all processes, procedures and provides support to Co-op volunteers and members, while modeling LIA's culture of grace and community.
Non-essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Participates in education of churches and partner agencies regarding LIA's mission; Participates in agency meetings and trainings, as required; and Participates in fundraising events.

Hours and Schedule:
This is a non-exempt, part-time position with 30 hours per week Monday through Friday, including one evening per week and one Saturday per month.
