Summary: Responsible for managing the metrology laboratory(s) within the assigned region. Integrate experience, past history and ensure that policies and procedures of measurement systems are effective for the company to satisfy customer requirements.

Preferred Education and
Experience:
Bachelors in Engineering, Business, Quality or related field required.
Applied knowledge of NIST, ASME, ISO 17025 and other applicable metrology specifications/guidelines.
Applied knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack methodologies.
Experience with calibration and CMM reporting software systems.
5-8 years previous experience in metrology or related quality field.

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following:
Manage the CMM laboratory(s) within the assigned region.
Develop and implement calibration and metrology goals, policies, analytical procedures, methods and guidelines.
Assure department compliance to applicable internal and external regulatory requirements and procedures.
Assure accuracy and precision of calibration and metrology measurement methods and techniques.
Coordinate and collaborate with regional peers to assure consistent implementation of policies and procedures.
Develop programs using appropriate metrology software to collect data on metal and plastic parts, components and checking fixtures in compliance with customer and industry standards.
Mentor metrology associates in proper measurement practices and methods.
Assess training needs of laboratory associates and develop appropriate training plans and training budgets.
Ensure that laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration programs are maintained.
Advice management on new market technologies, instrumentation and equipment as needed.
Provide technical support to manufacturing and engineering departments.
Support the development of checking fixtures and attend gage design meetings to ensure standards are known and included in the fixture design.
Assist in the selection and monitoring of calibration suppliers.

o Conduct timely and complete performance evaluations of direct associates; and ensure timely and complete performance evaluation of associates reporting under your indirect supervision
o Assess subordinates skill sets, current and future development needs and take steps to mentor and develop them appropriately
o Set direction of department and hold individuals accountable to performance standard and strategic objectives
o Develop strategic objectives for the quality departmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
