Automation/Robotics Technician

Our Client, A solid Tier 1 supplier based out of West Michigan is looking for a strong 3rd shift Electrical Technician who has experience working with PLC programming for robotics. Starting with humble roots as a small business, this company now boasts over 2,000 employees across the globe. Today, they are the leading experts in control solutions for the global surface transportation industry.
The Automation Technician will be responsible for debugging issues, troubleshooting equipment, and ordering spare parts for SAR robots. Any time a robot breaks or malfunctions, the technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing the problem quickly to reduce factory downtime. This individual must be knowledgeable in a variety of areas, such as mechanical repair, electric circuit design, and computer programming (PLC). The technician will also use a variety of diagnostic and repair tools. These include oscilloscopes and multimeters, which are used to measure electrical signals. Technicians must also be familiar with programmable logic controllers and electronics schematics in order to determine the source of a malfunction.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma Required, Associates Degree highly preferred
- Experience in Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic troubleshooting
- Experience with Banner, Sensopart & Cognex Vision systems (Preferred only)
- Have basic knowledge of sensoring i.e. Inductive, Capacitive, Diffuse, retro reflective, background suppression type sensoring (input/output)
- Ability to work and problem solve independently
- Solid people skills
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work overtime and on 3rd Shift

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
