Summary: Responsible for the daily maintenance, upkeep and repair all dies on the plant floor. He/ She is expected to maintain and care for the dies so that they are always in proper working condition

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the repair, cleaning, of dies
Work with the tool room department with all tooling issues
Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators
Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tooling such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to cut, bore, grind or other otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes
File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to properly fit them together
With proper approval fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools
Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications, make adjustments as necessary
Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects
Smooth and polish flat and contour conformity, and defects
Smooth and polish flat and contoured surfaces of parts or tools, stones, files, emery cloths, or power grinders
Cut, shape, and trim blanks or blocks to specified lengths or shapes, using power saws, power shears, rules and hand tools
Imitate and conduct preventative maintenance on all dies
Operates all machinery and equipment in a safe manner
Fills out documentation as required
Responsible for workroom cleanliness

Qualifications:
Able to use hand tools, gauges, dials, and/ or other indicators to make sure machines are working properly
Mechanically inclined
High experience with mills, lathes, grinders, and other tools and die equipment
Experience working with large dies-including single, double stage, and progressive dies
Experience with high tonnage press operation
Familiar with automotive tooling, tool hardening, and annealing
Familiarity with hardened steel dies
Have own tools for repairs
Able to provide routine maintenance
Knowledge and use of overhead cranes
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of mills, grinders, drill presses, lathes, and hand tools.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
