About The Open Position  We are seeking a Tooling Buyer for our Grand Haven, Michigan facility.   Primary responsibilities for this position involve:  Managing the tool quoting process, quote analysis, and documenting sourcing decisions. Leads or supports negotiations on supplier commercial issues. Develops or assists in developing supplier improvement strategies and solutions for continuous improvement. Develops or assists in developing cost saving opportunities and/or process improvements. Participates as a member of the Supply Chain Management Team. Develop and implement tooling commodity strategy Identify developmental objectives with key suppliers Work with tooling team to identify internal and external tooling standards Identify third party for tooling prove out Requirements Are You A Good Fit For This Job?  You could be right for this job if you have:  Bachelor's degree in business, materials management, or related field, tool engineering degree, or Journeyman toolmaker 10+ years of tooling buying experience; automotive industry experience preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at one time, with track record of delivering on commitments. Effective communications skills; written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to drive cost out of the supply chain. Ability to develop suppliers. Ability to manage launch sourcing successfully. High expectations for yourself and others. #208

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
