Restoration Project Manager

Join Cardno's Science and Environmental team in our Brighton, , Michigan location, to implement project work in the ecological restoration management field. Job Description: Cardno's Restoration Services Division provides a broad suite of services in natural resource management, water resource management and permitting/compliance. Our team provides ecological restoration, invasive species control, revegetation, erosion control, wetland construction, maintenance and other land management practices. The successful candidate will be a motivated leader that is able to balance and complete multiple complex tasks such as crew scheduling, resource procurement, risk/ safety management, and quality control. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: > Manage native and ecological restoration projects on all levels of size and complexity > Supervise, train, and mentor field personnel > Responsible for equipment maintenance and management > Ability to operate small and larger mechanical equipment > Responsible for project and shop material procurement > Responsible for project scheduling and coordination weekly > Drive efficiencies and best practices through project management and QA/QC > Lead proposal estimating and proposal submissions > Lead the development of a prescribed fire program > Manage clients and assist with business development and growth opportunities > Contribute to high-level planning for sustained growth and performance > Drive and maintain a culture of safety in all operations > Adhere to all corporate policies Minimum Qualifications: > Degree or relevant experience in ecological restoration, land management or environmental science > Minimum 5-year's experience managing complex projects > Minimum 5-year's experience conducting on-the-ground restoration work > Minimum 5-year's experience managing and leading crews > Experience in project management, including client meetings, written correspondence, and budget tracking > Experience reading construction drawings and specifications > Experience with project estimation and proposal development through technical writing > Experience with native and invasive plant identification > Experience with ecological restoration techniques > Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word > Ability to travel between offices, approximately 10% of the time > Must hold a valid driver's license Desired Qualifications: > S130/S190/S290 certifications and experience with prescribed burns > Hazwoper, First Aid, Red Card, or Applicators license > Experience with Microsoft Project or similar program > Certification in construction management > Self-motivated, strong innovator > Bilingual Spanish capabilities a plus   Equal Opportunity statement for US based applicants ONLY Cardno has a long standing policy of Equal Opportunity in employment. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
